Switches

Magnetic switches are characterized by the fact that the “High” or “Low” level is present at their output, depending on the value of the magnetic field at the location of the sensor. Switches have a hysteresis, so that the value at the output also depends on the history, i.e. whether the switching threshold was approached from below or above. These sensors are suitable for applications in which it is necessary to measure whether a magnetic field of a certain minimum field strength is present or not. They can be used to replace mechanical switches.
